Elaine N. DeSario, OD – Diplomate, ABO
Dr. DeSario is a native of the Louisa, KY/Fort Gay, WV area. She received a B.S. in Cytotechnology from Marshall University in 2003, minoring in Chemistry. Dr. DeSario received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2007, graduating with honors from the Advanced Pediatrics Track program.
In 2010, she was certified by Northeastern State University to provide Laser Therapy for the Anterior Segment and Minor Surgical Procedures for the Optometric Physician.
Dr. DeSario is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and currently serves as the Eastern KY trustee for the Kentucky Optometric Association. She also serves as President for the Louisa Chapter of the Rotary Club International and is an active member of the Lawrence County, KY Board of Health. She enjoys playing the piano and traveling with her husband and children.
Sally Maynard, CPOT
Sally has been with Louisa Eye Care since 1999. She is responsible for the pretesting and refraction. She is a Certified Paraoptometric Technician, receiving her certification in 2006. She attended the MARCO basic orthopic and refractometry workshop in 2002 and has completed the National Academy of Opticianry – Ophthalmic Progression Program in 2011. She is a member of the American Optometric Association – Paraoptometric Section.
Sheila Johnson, CPO-ABO
Sheila joined Louisa Eye Care in 2005. She is responsible for all aspects of the dispensary and optical lab. She is a current member of the American Optometric Association – Paraoptometric Section. She received her Commission on Paraoptometric Certification (CPO) in 2006 and her National Academy of Opticiary -Ophthalmic Career Progression Program in 2011. She is a certified optician through the American Board of Opticianary (ABO).
Amy Rowe, CPOA
Amy has been with Louisa Eye Care since 2007. She is currently responsible for all aspects of insurance and billing. She is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant, receiving her certification in 2009. She is a member of the American Optometric Association – Paraoptometric Section.
Stephanie Trout, CPOA
Stephanie joined our practice in 2014. She currently works the receptionist desk. She has been in the medical field for over 10 years and she has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. She is a member of the American Optometric Association – Paraoptometric Section.
Becky Salyer, CPO
Becky joined our practice in 2016. She is a member of the American Optometric Association – Paraoptometric Section. She is responsible for the pretesting and refraction. She is a Certified Paraoptometric.
